Reporting directly to the Manager of Emergency Preparedness, the Regional Emergency Measures Officer is responsible for guiding emergency activities in Nunavut. Key Responsibilities:
• Guide emergency management efforts during crises
• Draft and communicate emergency preparedness standards
• Organize training and community engagement events




• Address inquiries from various stakeholders and the public
• Act within the Incident Command System as necessary

Requirements:
• Must be a resident of Iqaluit
• Proven experience in emergency management or related fields
• Solid skills in public speaking and educational training
• Familiarity with the Emergency Measures Act
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities
