Senior Copywriter & Brand Strategist – Freelance 8-week contract | 30 hours/week | Start ASAP We’re looking for a Senior Copywriter & Brand Strategist for an exciting 8-week engagement with a leading financial services organization.
This is an chance for someone who loves both the strategy behind a brand and the craft of bringing it to life through great writing .
You’ll work directly with financial services professionals to uncover what differentiates them, shape their brand story and positioning, and translate that strategy into compelling, highly personalized content across digital and marketing channels.
What You’ll Be Doing Brand Strategy You’ll lead discovery sessions with stakeholders, uncover key insights and translate them into a clear, differentiated brand strategy. This will include:
Developing brand positioning and core brand ideas
Establishing strategic messaging pillars
Crafting value propositions and foundational brand narratives
Developing purpose, vision and mission
Defining brand personality, tone and values
Presenting strategic recommendations and refining them based on feedback
Creative Execution Once the strategy is established, you’ll bring it to life through content. The primary deliverable will often be a fully personalized website , with additional work potentially including:
Brochures and marketing collateral
Pitch presentations
Social and LinkedIn content




Email and launch communications
Supporting digital, video and blog content
You’ll collaborate closely with designers and creative partners while owning the copy from initial concept through final QA.
What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in copywriting, brand strategy, or a combination of both
A strong portfolio demonstrating both exceptional writing and strategic brand thinking
Experience leading stakeholder discovery sessions and translating insights into positioning and messaging
Strong long‑form, website and digital copywriting skills
Experience writing within a regulated industry
Confidence presenting strategic and creative recommendations to senior stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work at pace
Experience working within brand guidelines, compliance requirements and content governance
Working knowledge of SEO and emerging AEO/GEO content practices
Excellent attention to detail and a strong copy QA discipline
Experience within financial services is an asset, but not required.
We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable thinking like a strategist and writing like a copywriter — someone who can uncover a compelling story, build the strategy behind it, and then write the content that brings it to life.
