Our client is seeking a senior SAP Basis Lead to support our client within a complex hybrid SAP environment consisting of both SAP RISE and on-premises systems.

This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for SAP Basis operations, system availability, performance, capacity planning, technical governance, and operational excellence. The SAP Basis Lead will work closely with SAP, RISE operations, AMS, infrastructure teams, vendors, offshore resources, and business stakeholders to ensure the stability, security, and performance of the SAP landscape.

The successful candidate will bring solid hands-on SAP Basis expertise combined with experience leading upgrades, migrations, disaster recovery, production releases, vendor management, and technical architecture activities.

Duration: 1-year contract plus extension

Key Responsibilities

Lead SAP Basis operations across a hybrid landscape consisting of SAP RISE and on-premises SAP systems.

Ensure SAP system availability, stability, performance, and capacity , while maintaining appropriate technical governance.

Coordinate activities across SAP, RISE operations teams, AMS teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders .

Lead incident, problem, and change management activities related to the SAP technical landscape.

Plan and oversee SAP upgrades, enhancements, system refreshes, migrations, and other technical projects .





Support SAP S/4HANA lifecycle management , including migrations and upgrades.

Coordinate and lead Disaster Recovery (DR) testing , maintenance activities, and production releases.

Support high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for critical SAP systems.

Provide technical leadership for SAP integrations and cloud services .

Review and approve technical designs, architecture decisions, and Basis-related changes.

Support technologies including SAP BTP, CPI, Cloud Connector, IAS, and IPS .

Ensure SAP environments comply with applicable security, audit, regulatory, and enterprise governance requirements .

Manage technical escalations and service delivery with SAP RISE and other external support partners .

Coordinate with database teams supporting Oracle Database administration within the SAP landscape.

Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to offshore SAP Basis teams .

Identify opportunities to improve SAP operational processes, reliability, automation, and overall service delivery.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Extensive experience as an SAP Basis Lead, SAP Basis Architect,



or Senior SAP Basis Consultant within large enterprise environments.

Strong experience managing SAP RISE and on-premises SAP landscapes .

Deep expertise in SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and SAP system architecture .

Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle management .

Experience coordinating Oracle Database administration within SAP environments.

Strong understanding of SAP BTP and SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) .

Experience with SAP Cloud Connector .

Experience with SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS) .

Strong experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning .

Experience planning and executing SAP upgrades, migrations, system refreshes, maintenance, and production releases.

Strong understanding of SAP security, compliance, audit, and technical governance requirements .

Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior SAP technical leader with deep SAP Basis expertise who can successfully manage a complex hybrid SAP RISE and on-premises environment.

They should be comfortable owning critical SAP technical operations while coordinating multiple internal and external teams. The role requires someone who can operate at both the technical and leadership level , providing direction on SAP architecture, upgrades, migrations, cloud integrations, disaster recovery, security, and operational governance.
