About the Role Our client is seeking a qualified Mine Surveyor to join their team, supporting operations both on-site and remotely, with a primary base near Kimberley . You will be responsible for accurate measurement and mapping of mine workings, both surface and underground, ensuring that all activities conform to planned designs and regulatory requirements. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, proficiency with surveying equipment and software, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of accuracy and safety in the Northern Cape mining landscape.
Key Responsibilities Conduct topographic surveys, setting out points for development, and establishing control networks.
Measure and record volumes of ore reserves, waste rock, and stockpiles.
Prepare survey plans and reports for mine planning and operational guidance.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for mine surveying.
Collaborate with engineers and geologists to integrate survey data into mine models and plans.
Requirements National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, preferably in diamond or base metal mining.
Proficiency with modern surveying instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS, laser scanners) and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Vulcan, Deswik).
Strong understanding of mine surveying principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
