Job Title- SQL Server Customer Platform Engineer/Architect
Duration: Full Time

Experience level: 8-20 years

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Server &Data; Platform Solution Architect with expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Data Warehousing.For SQL Server, there should be a strong focus on Performance, High Availability, andFailover Clustering. An ideal candidate will play a key role in design, development and optimization of SQLServer Data Platform deployments as well as assisting in migration and modernization to Azure

Roles and Responsibilities

Enterprise level support and administrationfocused specifically on: SQL performance and tuning optimization, Clustering,Always on Availability groups, High Availability, Core SQL +Migration,on-premises and cloud.

SQL Server on IaaS experience on Azure/ Otherpublic cloud required.

All versions of SQL Server (2012 and onwards)

Solving performance problems, query tuning,and optimization

Architectural experience for Data Platform

Architecting for High Availability andDisaster recovery solutions using FCI, Always on Availability groups

Azure data factory, Azure SQLDB, Azure SQLDBManaged Instance, Azure Synapse knowledge is a plus.

Delivering and/or authoring technicaltraining





SQL Server Integration Services, ReportingServices, Analysis Services

Power BI experience and knowledge are a plus.

Advanced Microsoft certifications preferred

Previous Consulting and/or customer facingrole.

Technical Skills:

Datamodelling and database design.

Indexingstrategy o Performance Optimization and Tuning Capabilities

Partitioningdata implementations

Metadatamanagement and repository usage.

Databaseschema creation and management.

Backupand recovery. o Ensuring data integrity.

EnsuringHigh availability and Disaster recovery.

SQL code reviews with ability to dissect query plan, T-SQL code o Proceduralskills. o Data security. o Data Encryption o Auditing o Replication of data o SQL Edition and version differences with discontinued and deprecated features oUpgrade process.

DataEngine Capacity planning.
