Our client, a leading Canadian organization, is looking for an experienced Controller to join their finance team.
12-Month Contract | Strong Potential for Extension
Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, accruals and journal entries .
Lead the month-end and year-end close and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Review financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries and supporting schedules.
Prepare and review monthly financial reporting and variance analysis .
Manage and provide leadership to the accounting team, including AP/AR staff .
Oversee inventory, cost accounting, cash flow and working capital activities.
Maintain strong internal controls and support process improvements.




Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required financial information.
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
Partner with operations and senior management on accounting and financial matters.
Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience , including Controller or senior accounting leadership experience.
Previous experience managing an accounting team, including AP/AR .
Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations and General Ledger accounting .
Solid Excel and ERP/accounting systems experience.
Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
