Advance your engineering career as a Project Engineer overseeing water supply and sanitary sewerage projects with the Region of Durham. This role centers on project management, technical advice, and supervising engineering staff.
Reporting directly to the Manager of the Engineering Support Division, this role requires strong leadership in water supply and wastewater infrastructure. The Project Engineer will coordinate junior engineers and students while providing technical advice in various engineering studies and pilot projects. Your impactful work will support regional water supply and sanitary sewer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop project scope and management for water supply initiatives
• Write and evaluate requests for proposals for engineering projects
• Forecast budgeting for water and sewer services capital projects
• Manage and mentor technical staff, including junior engineers
• Conduct special engineering studies and research in collaboration with consultants
Requirements:
• Civil/Environmental/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering Degree
• Licensed Qualified Engineer with Ontario
• Extensive municipal engineering experience
• Knowledge of water supply and sanitary sewer systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
