This position is part of the Algorithms, Performance, and Tools team at D-Wave. You'll lead innovative R&D; in the Hybrid Development Program, employing strong Python skills to benchmark and optimize the performance of world-class quantum systems. Your ability to translate complex algorithms into meaningful practices will impact organizations across industry, government, and academia.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop novel quantum-classical hybrid algorithms
• Lead benchmarking and performance optimization activities
• Review and reproduce scientific literature experiments




• Analyze experimental results over time for trends
• Communicate findings to technical teams and stakeholders

Requirements:
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
• 4+ years in a full-time research position
• Proficient in Python; C++ knowledge is a plus
• Strong foundation in algorithm development
• Skilled in independent research and exploratory data analysis
