Assistant Controller

to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, audit preparation, and process improvement initiatives. On-site ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analyses. Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports. Coordinate audit requirements and maintain supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax regulations, and internal controls. Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting process. Support cash flow monitoring and working capital management. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Create, analyze and manage various reports in Excel. Execute any other administrative and accounting related task to support the Executive Management Accounting Department. QUALIFICATIONS CPA designation (completed or nearing completion). 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.



Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP (i.e., ASPE) and financial reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills and experience with ERP systems. Highly organised and exceptionally detail oriented Excellent communication skills with strong follow-through and reliability. Skilled at managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Analytical and able to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently. Committed to accuracy, documentation, and continuous improvement. Proficient in the use of accounting systems. Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems is a plus.
