As a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work directly under the guidance of a Registered Occupational Therapist to implement intervention plans for clients with diverse needs. Successful candidates will have a post-secondary education in Occupational Therapy and ideally community-based experience. Your role will foster an engaging and supportive atmosphere while interacting with clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate session progress to families and supervisors
• Implement treatment plans using best practices
• Prepare teaching materials for therapy sessions
• Create a positive and engaging environment
• Track client progress through data collection
Requirements:
• Post-secondary coursework in Occupational Therapy
• Valid authorization to work in Canada
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an OTA
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Community-based experience is preferred
