Join Connections for Families Society as a Family Support Worker, providing essential support to parents with cognitive disabilities in Calgary. Help families build safe, nurturing homes and empower them through parenting education.

This community-based role focuses on families led by parents with cognitive disabilities. You will provide strengths-based support and parenting skills education while maintaining a flexible schedule. Engage with clients as you assist them in setting goals, accessing community resources, and advocating for their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a diverse caseload of client families
• Build trusting relationships to aid parenting skills
• Support parents in accessing available benefits




• Assess client safety and connect with community resources
• Collaborate with agencies for the clients' best interests

Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in social work or related field
• Experience with cognitive disabilities and vulnerable populations
• Proficiency in MS 365 and client management software
• Ability to work effectively in a versatile environment
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle
