Triumph Industrial Process Ltd., a local owned and operated business in Nisku, is seeking a Journeyman Fitter/Welder. We are looking for self-driven, positive, and hardworking individuals to join our outstanding team!

Working in a fast-paced environment this Full-time position may include some evening/weekend shifts and the candidate should have a versatile schedule.

Responsibilities include:
Review blueprints and specifications; ensure drawings and specifications will function as designed in environment intended for use.
Lay out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
Assemble & fit sections and plates to form complete units per drawings/specifications, using overhead crane equipment where necessary.
Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and report to supervisor.
Organize and keep work area and equipment clean and functional,



performing general house keeping and daily clean-up of work area as required.
Participate in Triumph’s Safety Program including accident investigations and worksite inspections & promote safe work practices.
Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

Requirements:
Valid provincial Journeyman Certification in Welding or Fabrication.
Robust verbal/written communication skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read drawing, layouts and follow work order instructions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour
