Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Methods

Liaise between our customers, Quality and Manufacturing for warranty-related concerns. Monitor the warranty performance for each TPNO supplied carline through the customers’ database. Through in-depth data analysis, identify top issues, summarize findings/results into reporting matrices and distribute to applicable internal and external program teams. Support management with data as required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warranty Analysis

Develop specialized reports for vehicle specific warranty issues

Provide historical warranty data for new vehicle program proactive initiatives

Obtain and review in-plant repair data

Reconcile or negotiate customer warranty claims as applicable

Support the reconciliation and negotiation for larger scope warranty claims

Field Contact

Customer contact for warranty information from Yazaki: manufacturing, design and quality

Analyze field returns, conduct teardowns, document and report investigation findings

Initiate and implement warranty containment and rework activities with the customer

Communicate and coordinate warranty-related corrective action responses and activities with Manufacturing

Support corrective action proposals for warranty issues attributable to the customer

Contact service dealerships to identify potential root cause / repair method for significant issues

Provide field support to the customer for dealership visits as requested

Provide on-site support to customer for warranty investigations





Facilitate customer facility visits by Yazaki related to warranty claims

May Coordinate and support audits / visits to Manufacturing for warranty-related concerns

Support long-range and short-term group forecasts, goals, objectives, and priorities

Support other projects, tasks, and/or duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
Degree Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering-related discipline preferred, related field or equivalent experience

Certification Requirements:

N/A

Previous Experience:

Required: 2 years of experience in Automotive Quality experience or related training preferred

Preferred: 5 years of experience

Travel Requirements:

Domestic and international as required
