Join BBA and make the most of your experience byactively contributing to the various stages of major electrical engineeringprojects, from the start of the business relationship to onsite equipmentcommissioning.

As a designer, you’ll help deliver engineering projects,select technology and implement projects in the mining, hydropower and heavyindustry sectors. You’ll work at our Montréal or Mont-Saint-Hilaire office.You’ll also play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, ensuringexceptional technical quality of deliverables.

Design and develop 3D models of various systems and equipment

Work with point clouds (3D laser scanning data) to develop solutions tailored to existing site conditions.

Participate in the selection and integration of mechanical equipment based on project technical requirements.

Produce and review general arrangement, detailed, and installation drawings for mechanical systems.

Conduct site surveys and field investigations while providing recommendations aligned with on-site realities.

Perform technical calculations and analyses to support engineering and design decisions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to resolving more complex technical challenges.

Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and other project deliverables while ensuring quality and compliance with applicable standards.





Coordinate certain technical activities with project stakeholders and help ensure project schedules are met.

Summary of certifications and jobrequirements

College diploma in mechanical engineering technology

Six to ten years of experience

Experience with 3D design

Available to travel occasionally between the Mont-Saint-Hilaire and/or Montréal offices

Available for short assignments at client sites

Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec

Advanced English to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects

Asset: experience in the heavy industry sector (mining, petrochemicals, energy, etc.)

Asset: knowledge of SolidWorks, Revit, SmartPlant 3D, CADWorx, Navisworks, Ansys and AutoCAD applications

Asset: knowledge of piping, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanized welding and structural engineering
