Financial Controller - South Shore of Quebec

Join a growing manufacturing organization where the finance function is at the heart of decision-making. You will take charge of financial operations, oversee a small team, and advance controls, processes, and tools (including ERP) in a concrete and hands-on context.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all financial management activities and ensure rigorous performance tracking.

Supervise the complete accounting cycle (billing, accounts payable, and payroll) and approve accounts payable.

Plan cash flows and support operational decisions with clear management reports.

Prepare budgets, analyze monthly and annual financial statements, and explain variances to the management committee.

Implement, document, and monitor internal controls while optimizing processes (including closing timelines).

Prepare year-end files and collaborate with external auditors, keeping an eye on applicable tax rules.

Guide the three members of the finance team and support their autonomy, taking on the operational decisions of the department.

Desired Profile

Hold a university degree in accounting.

Have at least 2 years of relevant experience in a company or firm.

Master Excel at an advanced level.





Communicate in conversational English with a good foundation (occasional exchanges; ability to manage in writing with available tools).

Demonstrate natural leadership and the ability to analyze and simplify financial information.

Exhibit rigor, autonomy, organization, and resourcefulness.

Adopt a reassuring presence and a structured approach to advance a team with varied support needs.

Conditions — what is offered

Salary: starting from $95,000 per year.

Schedule: 40 hours over 4.5 days (possibility to spread over 5 days);

Vacation: 5 weeks

Group Insurance: 50% paid by the employer, plus telemedicine, employee assistance program, and sick leave.
