Candidates should have the following:
Ability to ice cakes professionally in a quick paced setting
Measure and mix large batches of cake batter accurately
Completion of Baking or Pastry course(s) is an asset;
6 months experience in a commercial scratch bakery;
Ability to lift 25 kg and stand the entire shift;
Ability to work independently; and,
Open availability, including weekends with shifts as early as 8 a.m.
Responsibilities include:
Assist bakers as needed;
Scooping muffins, cutting cookies, panning buns etc;
Baking assortment of goods: cookies, muffins, pies, tarts, buns, etc.;
Adhering to food safety procedures;
Keeping equipment and premises clean.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
