We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist Senior Paralegals in preparing legal documents, conducting research, and maintaining case files. The Paralegal will also handle a select amount of assigned files with the supervision of a Senior Paralegal or Lawyer. Accident benefit claims experience (SABS) is a huge advantage.
Responsibilities:
Conduct legal research using tools such as In-Health
Assist in drafting legal documents and correspondence
Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
Provide administrative support to Senior Paralegals including clerical tasks
Handle phone calls and communicate with clients professionally
Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
Assist in project management and coordination of case-related tasks
Perform data entry and document management tasks
Experience:
Previous experience as a Accident Benefit Paralegal or in a similar role preferred
Proficiency in using legal research tools
Strong writing skills with attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to handle clerical duties effectively
Proficient in proofreading legal documents for errors
Familiarity with project management principles is a plus
Strong data entry skills for maintaining accurate records
