THE ROLE: AMD designs leading edge and state of the art analog interfaces. Our team designs the tools and infrastructure needed to validate and characterize these analog interfaces. You will work with a talented team of highly skilled electrical and computer engineers in a state-of-the-art laboratory.
THE PERSON: A qualified candidate must have excellent knowledge of Electrical Engineering fundamentals and possess experience with electrical laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, etc. The candidate must also demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Characterize and validate mixed-signal IP circuits for various leading edge Si technologies. IPs include PLL, DP, DDR5, MIPI, and others
Automate laboratory tests through computer control/software development
Develop characterization test plans for IPs to be characterized
Execute characterization, collect & analyze data, and prepare final report
Prepare execution schedule and publish regular updates to design engineers
Work closely with design teams on DFT (Design-For-Test) and characterization techniques




Continually innovate more productive test techniques to save on cost and time
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with using test equipment such as Scopes, Function Generators, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
SW development skills preferably in Python
Good understanding of semiconductor device specification and parameters
Familiarity with PC architecture
Familiarity with board level design and manufacturing
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's degree in electrical / computer engineering + strong knowledge of analog circuits, RF, and signal integrity principles
