Join DECIEM as an Applied Research Scientist, where you'll innovate beauty products by translating scientific research into high-performance formulations. This on-site role in Toronto focuses on raw material analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

In this 12-month contract, you will play a crucial role in scientific innovation at DECIEM. Your expertise in ingredient selection and formulation science will help drive new product development across innovative brands like The Ordinary and NIOD. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, you will contribute to transforming scientific ideation into commercially viable products.

Key Responsibilities:
• Research raw materials and cosmetic ingredients for effectiveness
• Collaborate with departments to enhance formulation robustness




• Manage selection of raw materials and active ingredients
• Develop proof-of-concept testing strategies with clinical teams
• Generate technical documents for internal and external alignment

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field
• 3+ years of topical application research experience
• Strong knowledge of cosmetic formulation and active ingredients
• Familiarity with GLP and GMP regulatory standards
• Practical problem-solving skills in formulations
