Our client is seeking a Lead Mechanic to oversee the maintenance, reliability, and readiness of fleet and field equipment within a fast‑paced industrial environment. This hands‑on leadership role combines mechanical troubleshooting and repair with responsibility for maintenance planning, team coordination, and equipment availability. The ideal candidate will bring extensive heavy‑equipment experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance and reliability.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

Lead day-to-day maintenance activities across fleet and field equipment

Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance while troubleshooting complex equipment issues

Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules, procedures, and equipment records

Monitor equipment condition and prioritize repairs based on operational requirements

Coordinate emergency repairs and perform root-cause analysis on recurring equipment failures

Ensure equipment is inspected, maintained, and ready for safe deployment

Lead and mentor mechanics while coordinating external maintenance resources as needed

Manage spare parts requirements and work with vendors to support equipment availability





Partner with Operations and Manufacturing to align maintenance priorities and minimize downtime

Promote safe work practices and ensure maintenance activities meet applicable safety and compliance requirements making

Your strengths include:

Extensive experience in industrial or heavy-equipment maintenance, ideally within energy, oil and gas, transportation, utilities, construction, or a related setting

Journeyperson Heavy‑Duty Mechanic or comparable mechanical qualification preferred

Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical/control systems

Experience maintaining heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, pumps, compressors, generators, or similar equipment

Demonstrated experience with preventative maintenance and equipment reliability programs

Strong leadership, planning, and team coordination skills

Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documentation

Experience with CMMS platforms and digital maintenance records considered an asset

Valid driver’s license with the flexibility to work in both field and shop environments

CVIP experience or certification considered an asset
