Location Description
Post Consumer Brands in Niagara Falls, Ontario is home to the Original Shredded Wheat cereal, first produced at this plant 117 years ago. Today, more than 150 team members work at the plant and support the local food bank and other community organizations. The Niagara Falls plant is just down the road from the iconic and expansive waterfalls of the same name. Check out this majestic natural wonder and the various activities nearby. Responsibilities
Are you ready to champion a culture of growth and learning at our manufacturing site in Niagara Falls, ON? Join us as a Learning & Development (L&D;) Business Partner and help drive employee success by designing, delivering, and managing impactful skill-based training programs for our team.
As the site-level L&Dlead;, you’llpartner with leaders and employees to build a strong learning culture, manage training initiatives, andleveragetechnology to support ongoing development. Yourexpertisewill ensure our workforce is skilled, engaged,
and ready to meet business challenges
What You’ll Do
Serve as the site’s learning and development champion, partnering with leaders to prioritize and resource employee development and foster a strong learning culture.
Build connections across shifts andfacilitateeffective communication;regularsupportoff-shift training (including someevenings,holidays/weekends).
Buildand coordinateleadershipdevelopmentprograms thatbuildproblem-solving tools and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g.,Go SeeThink Do,8-Step Problem Solving, 5S).
Collaborate with central L&D; and HR toidentifytraining needs, develop onboarding programs, and design engaging contentthat drives retention.
Collaborate withContinuous Improvement and Operations teamsto drivekeylearning anddevelopment priorities thatimprovesoperational performance.
Implement train-the-trainer models and ensure trainers are equipped to deliver high-qualitycoaching andinstruction.
Build and manage the annual training calendar, coordinatelogistics, and oversee program rollouts.
Administer the site’s learning management system (SumTotal) and Redzone Learning Module; tracktraining metrics, provide reporting to leadership, and support audits.
Makecontent edits using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate) as needed.
Gather and analyze training data to measure effectiveness,identifyopportunities for improvement, andprogress against goals.
Lead cross-functional teamsandsteeringcommitteeto drive continuous improvement, close skill gaps, and champion Standard Work initiatives.
Activelyparticipatesin and contributes toPost’sLearning and Development community of practice. Stays up to date on emerging trends in Learning and Development, actively engages in continuing education.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of experience in learning & development, training, or education roles (manufacturing experience a plus)
Skilled facilitator withexpertisein adult learning principles,
Skilledperformanceconsultant,and contentdeveloper
Proficient in LMSadministration,andMicrosoft Office Suite
Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder alignment skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven
Occasional travel (up to 10%)
Preferred
Prior experience in manufacturing or unionized environments
Experience withRedzonemanufacturing software,e-learning tools andon-the-plant floortraining, coaching, and performance consulting
Ability to program manage multiple projects concurrently
Experience in change managementmodels
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g.,Go SeeThink Do,5S, 8-Step Problem Solving)

The pay range for this position is $72,498 - $101,497 per year.
