Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Hand to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations in office, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various machinery, including skid steer, loaders, and excavator. You will lead a team of workers, providing guidance and support while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of crew members on-site.
Operate equipment such as skid steer, loaders, and mini excavator for various tasks including digging, landscaping and snow removal.
Ensure that all equipment is maintained in valuable working condition and report any mechanical issues.
Train new employees on various civil landscape tasks and safety procedures.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure project timelines are met.
Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure efficient workflow.





Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within construction or related fields.
Proficient in small equipment operation such as skid steer, loader and mini excavator.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Proficient in towing a trailer.
Experience in commercial driving is preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey instructions and feedback.
A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to heavy machinery operation are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Experience:
Excavator: 1 year (preferred)
Skid steer: 2 years (preferred)
Landscaping : 1 year (preferred)
