Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cookies, and specialty cakes, following established recipes and quality standards
Decorate cakes with intricate designs, fondant work, piping, and other artistic techniques to create visually stunning desserts
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Assist customers with selecting baked goods and answer questions about ingredients, customization options, and dietary considerations
Package finished products carefully for display or delivery to preserve freshness and presentation




Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients; communicate needs for restocking to management
Maintain consistent quality control by checking the appearance, texture, and flavor of baked items before serving or packaging

Requirements
Proven experience in cake decorating and baking within a restaurant or bakery setting
Robust skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety practices
Knowledge of the food industry standards related to hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations
Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, piping tools, and decorating supplies efficiently
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities
Prior kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred
Passion for creating visually appealing desserts that delight customers’ senses
