Highlander is growing, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented General Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys full-cycle accounting, thrives in a rapid-paced environment, and wants to expand their analytical and financial reporting skills.

What You’ll Do
Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries and month-end support
Complete bank reconciliations and resolve account discrepancies
Process AP/AR transactions and prepare bi-weekly cheque runs
Prepare GST filings and government remittances
Reconcile sales to merchant statements and investigate variances
Support financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
Assist with inventory costing, shrink analysis, and other ad hoc reports
Maintain internal controls and support external audits

What We’re Looking For
Accounting diploma or degree; CPA candidate preferred
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills




Ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume workplace
