About the Role Our client is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their fully remote team, focusing on the structural design of buildings and related structures. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity, safety, and aesthetic quality of architectural projects. You will collaborate with architects, project managers, and clients to translate design concepts into robust structural solutions. Key Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and design for various building types, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
Develop detailed structural drawings , specifications, and reports using industry-standard software.
Design structural systems using materials such as steel, concrete, and timber.
Collaborate effectively with architectural teams and other disciplines to integrate structural requirements into overall building design.
Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations.




Review shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries during the construction phase.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in building structural design.Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Revit Structure, ETABS, SAP2000).
Strong understanding of building codes (e.g., SANS) and structural principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote team dynamics.
Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly desirable.
