This temporary position, up to 18 months, requires assisting in social drop-in activities and reinforcing client routines that promote recovery. Collaborate with clients utilizing your lived experience with mental health challenges to help them set and achieve their goals. Experience in a diverse and inclusive setting is essential to provide effective support and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in delivering social drop-in activities for clients
• Help clients create individual care plans and set goals
• Support clients in developing healthy daily routines
• Address clients’ concerns promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with the team on program evaluation and adjustments
Requirements:
• Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
• Certificate in Personal Support Worker program preferred
• Lived experience with mental illness or addictions
• Peer training considered an asset
• Flexible hours to meet client needs
