Empower individuals with disabilities to achieve competitive employment as a Vocational Counsellor at Pacific Coast Community Resources. This role emphasizes one-on-one and group counselling, job marketing, and coaching support.
As a Vocational Counsellor, you will facilitate the integration of participants into the workforce, providing ongoing assessment and development of personalized vocational plans. Your responsibilities include managing caseloads, coordinating outreach with employers, and fostering team-oriented relationships focused on employment outcomes. You'll also create job seeker profiles and deliver essential job coaching to participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage caseloads of participants in the program
• Conduct job marketing and outreach activities
• Establish trusting relationships for employment support
• Develop job seeker profiles and resumes
• Provide ongoing onsite job coaching and support
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in health or social services
• Minimum 1 year experience with people with disabilities
• Strong computer skills and communication abilities
• Unrestricted Class 5 Driver's license
• Current First-Aid and CPR Level C Certification
