Shape production outcomes as the Production Controller for Irving Shipbuilding in Canada. Drive schedule performance, manage material logistics, and support cross-functional teams directly.
In this full time, in-office role, the Production Controller works with the Ship Repair production team. You will enhance schedule accuracy, track work completion, and ensure material availability. Strong organizational skills and collaboration with Supervisors will be essential to resolve roadblocks and monitor ongoing production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage assigned Supervisors and support their production schedule
• Order material to meet delivery timelines for productions
• Create weekly plans for Supervisors based on project needs
• Verify material availability and collaborate with Supply Chain
• Conduct shopfloor walks to monitor progression and material use
Requirements:
• Diploma in Engineering or similar technical field
• 2-5 years of planning or trade experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a heavy manufacturing environment
