Take part in essential clinical testing as a Diagnostic Laboratory Technician at EORLA. This role involves sample preparation, diagnostics, and identifying unsuitable specimens in a rotating shift schedule.
As an LT3 at Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association, you will manage the collection and preparation of clinical samples. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting problematic specimens and assisting in training recent staff. Flexibility in shift work, including days, evenings, and weekends, is required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and prepare diagnostic samples for testing
• Identify and resolve unsuitable specimens based on established criteria
• Support training initiatives for new laboratory staff
• Rotate through specified job functions as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety and handling practices
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in a recognized laboratory program
• Minimum of six months experience or equivalent clinical placement
• Knowledge of laboratory theory and safety regulations
• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
• Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required
