Become a critical member of Johnson Controls as a Boiler Service Technician, focusing on wiring, testing, and maintaining boilers in the field. Utilize your expertise to ensure optimal boiler performance and support operational efficiency.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for wiring, firing, and testing boilers while ensuring equipment is startup and well-maintained. Your knowledge of PLCs, transformers, and control systems will be essential. This position values both independent work and team support, aimed at meeting operational goals efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Wire controls and motors for boilers and auxiliary equipment
• Troubleshoot, fire, and calibrate boilers of all types
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
• Maintain tools and equipment inventory
• Collaborate on internal and external projects with the team
Requirements:
• Class A Gas ticket and five years of field experience
• Robust background in boiler controls and troubleshooting
• Ability to retrofit control systems in the field
• Mechanical and electrical skills are essential
• Willingness to pursue backflow testing certification
