Program Overview – Financial Planning & Analysis, Central Services
Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A;, the Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in partnering with program areas to drive innovative financial modelling,operational efficiencies, insightful data analytics, and key management and financial and regulatory reporting. This role ensures the accuracy, compliance, and transparency of financial information, supporting decision-making and operational effectiveness across Woodgreen.

The Senior Financial Analyst operates within Woodgreen's Central Services, Finance department, contributing to financial planning, reporting, procurement, and analysis that advance organizational goals. The role requires a combination of technical accounting expertise, analytical ability and strong communication skills to provide financial insights and recommendations. The incumbent balances routine financial reporting responsibilities with strategic initiatives such as process improvements, budgeting, forecasting, and procurement management, while also mentoring junior staff and fostering collaboration across departments.

What You Will Do

Manage the month-end close ,



including the recording ofjournal entries and related tasks.

Responsible for financial reporting activities , including the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Prepare detailed balance sheet and bank reconciliations , maintaining financial accuracyand transparency.

Develop and maintain schedules for reserves and provisions, ensuring alignmentwith accounting policies and regulatory guidelines.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies in financialreporting.

Assist in the interim and annual audit by developing schedules, pullingsamples, and answering control questions.

Manage tenant payments and ledgers withhousing software program.

Prepare financial reports and presentations for leadership and board members, conveying key insightsand recommendations.

Drive process improvements in financial reporting and procurement practices,enhancingaccuracy and efficiency.

Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial insights and data.

Mentor and guide junior team members , fostering collaboration and results-driven work environment.

What You Bring to the Team





Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA designation preferred, or actively pursuing CPA qualification.

2+ years of experience in financial reporting, internal audit,external audit, and/or professional services.

Intermediate experience in MS Excel(financial and data functions).

Understanding of accounting principles, financial standards, and regulatory compliance.

Proficiency in financial analysis tools and accounting software.

Hands‑on experience with financial analysis tools and accounting software, and a willingness to learn new technologies to improve efficiency.
