Engage with BCIT's Automotive Program as a faculty member for the Auto Service Technician. This position offers a chance to teach in a full time, on-call capacity at the Burnaby campus, blending remote and in-person instruction.
The role involves teaching responsibilities alongside curriculum development for aspiring auto service professionals. With a minimum of five years of experience and Red Seal Endorsement, you will ensure that students receive quality education through robust administrative and interactive support. Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of instructors to enhance the academic experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct and evaluate students in automotive courses
• Develop and maintain comprehensive teaching materials
• Ensure proper administration of assignments and evaluations
• Coordinate with department heads and other instructors
• Provide interim coverage for full-time faculty when necessary
Requirements:
• 5 years of automotive service experience with Red Seal
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills
• Practical knowledge in curriculum enhancement
• Familiar with teaching technologies and Microsoft tools
• Previous instructing or supervisory experience preferred
