Become a critical part of our lending team as a Commercial Loan Underwriting Specialist, focusing on credit risk assessment for Business and Agriculture loan portfolios. This position allows you to apply your analytical skills in a regulatory compliance context.

As an Underwriter reporting to the Vice President and Credit Officer, you will perform thorough financial analyses, including reviewing tax returns and cash flow statements for recent and existing loans. You will also engage with loan officers to strengthen relationships and ensure accurate assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Determine borrower repayment abilities via financial statement analysis
• Assess adequacy of collateral through thorough documentation review
• Analyze legal documents relating to loan agreements




• Prepare detailed risk ratings for commercial relationships
• Conduct annual reviews of current loans per established policies

Requirements:
• Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Skilled in understanding financial statements
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and analysis software
• Knowledge of credit reports and lending standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
