Position Summary The Building Engineer is responsible for performing and coordinating building repairs, maintenance, and system oversight while delivering exceptional service to tenants and contributing to the ongoing functionality and appeal of our buildings. This position champions the JLL Culture of Communication, Collaboration, and Trust while performing the following duties: Apply a proactive approach to mechanical and physical repairs/maintenance, with careful attention to detail and improved maintenance standards to ensure building equipment operates efficiently and effectively, and the properties are seen as well-cared-for facilities. Specific duties include but are not limited to addressing building climate concerns, lighting requests, minor plumbing, performing emergency snow and ice removal, site garbage tours and pick-up, operating automation systems including HVAC and security, and coordinating tenant requests. Oversee contractor activities during regular time and after hours when needed. Supervise scheduled maintenance contracts and related services, including but not limited to interior/exterior maintenance, HVAC systems, life safety systems, and cleaning services. Participate in and contribute to company HSSE program including hazard assessments and safe work procedures for all associated tasks prior to commencing work. Energy Management review and implementation of cost savings. Deliver excellent quality tenant services, emphasizing a cooperative and helpful approach in all interactions with tenants. Assist with the supervision of tenant buildouts, construction and capital projects, serving as liaison to ensure procedures, timelines and quality control are maintained to JLL standards.



Ensure that appropriate environmental and safety procedures are implemented to ensure compliance with government regulations and contribute to the overall performance of the company and portfolio.
Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial property operations
Technical Skills: Applied working knowledge of building automation systems for mechanical operations, maintenance, security, and HVAC
Strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on abilities, and above-average understanding of building components
Basic computer knowledge including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe applications
Basic working knowledge of blueprints and construction drawings
Other Requirements: Available for on-call 24-hour rotation as assigned
Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a personal vehicle required (mileage provided)
Ability to communicate and relate to a variety of people, including tenants, senior staff, property management, mechanical and service personnel
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with medical office or healthcare facilities
5th Class Power Engineer Certification
Experience working with Building Engines/Prism
