Elevate safety engineering standards at GeoSpectrum as a System Safety Engineer. Focus on product compliance and risk assessment within hardware and software environments for advanced systems.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate safety risks. You will ensure compliance with industry standards, especially MIL-STD-882E, while supporting safety-critical systems in the defense, marine, and aerospace sectors. Solid knowledge of safety-driven design and system safety processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop System Safety Program Plans and Hazard Analyses
• Serve as Program Safety Manager for key initiatives
• Present safety assessments during design and testing phases
• Ensure documentation meets contractual and customer standards
• Lead system safety working groups and promote best practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of system safety engineering experience
• Proficient in hazard analysis and risk mitigation
• Experience with Fault Tree Analysis and other safety tools
• Familiarity with Naval systems and compliance standards
