Your role on the team:

Supports staff providing customs guidance on compliance for customer filings on front line

Provides guidance to client inquiries, referring to trade services as required

Reviews internal processes, optimize where possible and implements new procedures

Assists teams in resolving Customs and carrier issues

Maintains positive customer relationships and may be main key customer contact

Prepares and monitors various Customs compliance and broker management reports

Trains, coaches, and supervises team members

Support team members in achieving their department KPI goals including timely releases

May participate in liaising with customs colleagues on technical matters regarding border initiatives and legislation

Supports any AP/AR discrepancies and addresses accounting issues

As required and assigned

Supports GEODIS’ programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Ethics, Compliance, CSR and Sustainability

What you need:

Minimum 2 years relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Customs Certified Specialist designation

Customs Trade Compliance Specialist designation preferred

Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations





Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
