Grand River Personnel is a locally owned and operated full-service staffing agency that has been proudly serving the Kitchener-Waterloo area since 1978. We are growing our team and are looking for an Industrial Recruiter who enjoys working with people, building relationships, and making things happen in a fast-paced environment.
If you have experience in recruitment, human resources, administration, customer service, or staffing , or have recently completed a related college or university program, we want to hear from you!
This is for a permanent, full-time, in-office (Remote or hybrid can not be accommodated) position requiring full daytime availability. The successful candidate will be organized, professional, confident communicating with both clients and job seekers, and comfortable managing multiple priorities throughout the day.
What You’ll Do
Manage full-cycle recruitment , including reviewing applications, screening candidates, conducting interviews and matching candidates to job opportunities
Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and assigned clients
Communicate with clients regarding staffing needs and provide timely recruitment support
Source, recruit and follow up with candidates to meet open position requirements
Complete new employee files and maintain accurate information in our recruiting database
Review workplace policies, assignment expectations, health and safety requirements and other onboarding information with new employees
Follow up with employees regarding attendance, assignments, timesheets, injuries and other employment-related matters
Operate a multi-line telephone system and manage daily email correspondence
Maintain accurate documentation and follow established WSIB, Health & Safety and employment processes
Work closely with the recruitment team to ensure client and candidate needs are met
What We’re Looking For
Diploma or degree from a recognized college or university; Human Resources, Business, Administration or Office Management preferred
Previous recruitment, staffing, HR, administrative or customer service experience is an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident, outgoing and professional personality with a strong customer-service focus
Highly organized with excellent time-management and follow-up skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Professionalism, integrity, honesty and persistence
Knowledge of workplace health and safety and WHMIS requirements
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Familiarity with Canva and Meta Business Suite is an asset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented office workplace
Compensation: $43,680 – $49,920 Annually, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
