Overview As a Janitor with OEM Remanufacturing, you will be responsible for performing routine and heavy cleaning duties within the plant operating areas, planning offices, washrooms, and storage areas, all in accordance with established policies, procedures, and training.
Job Description Follows the established written schedule of duties for the assigned area
Operates and maintains all equipment in a protected and efficient manner
Lifts and moves furniture, using appropriate equipment
Delivers incoming supplies throughout the building as assigned
Cooperates with staff from other areas of responsibility when additional cleaning is required
Replenishes soap and paper towel dispenser supplies in assigned areas
Performs all assigned duties in the method and manner established through the Facility Janitorial procedures
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications A minimum of 1-2 years recent experience in an industrial cleaning capacity is preferred
Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively
Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
Must be able to perform cleaning at heights from Aerial platform (able to successfully complete Aerial Platform and Fall Arrest Training)
A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures




Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment
Note This posting is for a static afternoon shift scheduled Monday - Thursday; 10 hours per day (3pm - 1:30am) Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
Hourly Rate: $24.40 - $25.46 / Hour
Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
