Make a difference with Family Transition Place as a Clinical Counsellor providing trauma counselling to women and sexual violence survivors. Enjoy a full-time, one-year contract working across Orangeville, Bolton, and Shelburne.
In this role, you will deliver individual and group counselling services to women and men affected by abuse and trauma. Your expertise in crisis counselling, advocacy, and collaboration with community systems will be crucial. Experience with anti-oppression frameworks and comprehensive understanding of trauma and mental health will enhance your effectiveness in this supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and group counselling services to clients
• Maintain electronic data recordings as required
• Collaborate and advocate with community resources
• Conduct occasional educational presentations and committee work
• Assist in planning and organizing service offerings
Requirements:
• Master's degree in counselling or related field
• More than 2 years’ crisis counselling experience
• Registration with a counselling or social work college
• Strong communication skills in team settings
• Valid driver’s license and insurance required
