Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. Reporting to the CFO, this is a hands-on role responsible for full-cycle accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and project accounting within a quick-paced, project-based environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of their work while collaborating with both finance and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Payroll Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
Process payroll and ensure all related remittances and year-end requirements are completed accurately
Assist with GST, payroll, and other government filings
Support year-end activities and work with external accounting partners as required
Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Project Accounting Support project accounting and job costing activities
Track project expenses, budgets, and costs throughout the project lifecycle




Monitor project performance and identify variances or potential cost concerns
Work with project and operations teams to ensure expenses are accurately recorded and allocated
Assist with cash flow management, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis
Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis for the CFO and leadership team
Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready financial records
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls
Qualifications 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong full-cycle accounting experience
Payroll experience required
Experience with project accounting or job costing is a must
Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
CPA designation or actively working toward CPA is an asset
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable working independently and collaborating across teams
