Canadian Rockies Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2026-2027 school year.
Substitute Teachers (short term contracts may also be available) The successful candidate will demonstrate the attributes of the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard.
In particular:
Training in and experience working with students and curriculum across the divisions.
High energy, a positive attitude and flexibility.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to differentiate curriculum for all learners.
Excellent behaviour management skills.
Knowledge of current educational research and issues.
Excellent oral and written English.
Experience in working as a member of a skilled learning network.
Ability to work collaboratively and co-teach.
Understands and applies principles of the Teaching Effectiveness Framework.




Demonstrates skills of a child-centred Educator who embodies the Mission, Vision and Beliefs of the division.
Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate technology to enhance the learning opportunities of students.
Oral and Written French Language Skills would be an asset.
Start Date: When suitable candidates have been found.

A Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check (current within 3 months) will be required before the successful candidate may start in this position.
A Child Intervention (Welfare) check may be required.
