A proven and growing electrical contractor in Markham area is currently looking to add a focused career driven electrical coordinator/ jr. project manager to their team! This group is looking for their future leaders and you will be mentored directly by the lead senior pm! Ideally, you will have 4-6 years of experience in the ICI contracting market, preferably with an electrical background.

The Project Coordinator will assist with the overall project performance and keep a close relationship with their mentor and the senior project manager to help ensure construction projects run smoothly on time and on budget.

Requirements:

Electrical Engineering, Construction Technical Diploma and/or equivalent trade experience and knowledge

4-6 years’ experience in a coordinator role, preferably electrical contacting or electrical engineering

Working knowledge of Accubid software and AutoCAD preferred

Basic knowledge of the construction industry

Ability to read drawings and some exposure to design build projects is preferred

Planning and scheduling skills

Competency in basic computer skills,



including Microsoft Office products

Basic understanding of project forecasting and projections

Responsibilities:

Assist the Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met.

Work with and ensure all health and safety policies are followed / met.

Assist in planning and preparing of construction schedules

Monitor the jobs progress against set timelines

Assist in preparing contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections

Estimate project changes and impacts

Assist in developing and implementing quality control programs

Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships

Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients

Document control

Assist in purchasing supplies and materials as required to complete projects
