Become an integral part of the interprofessional team as an Occupational Therapist. This role focuses on person-centred care, assessments, and enhancing patient outcomes in preparation for community discharge.

As part of a energetic interprofessional inpatient team, the Occupational Therapist will assess and develop care plans tailored to enhance patient functionality. You'll be at the forefront of teaching and supervising students while guiding Occupational Therapist Assistants and volunteers in their tasks. Excellent communication and judgment are essential in this role, enabling you to effectively educate patients, families, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Provide education to patients and families about therapy processes




• Evaluate patient progress and suggest necessary referrals
• Participate in interprofessional team meetings and activities
• Supervise and mentor OT and OTA students and assistants

Requirements:
• Recognized post-secondary program in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Minimum one year clinical experience with relevant patients
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and person-centred care
