Accounting Manager

Salary: $90K - $110K (dependent on experience)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting and financial reporting functions. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting

Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Analyze financial results and provide insights to management.

Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process.

Accounting Operations

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.

Ensure accuracy of financial records and reconciliations.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.

Manage banking relationships and financing arrangements.





Develop strategies to optimize cash management and profitability.

Compliance & Internal Controls

Maintain and strengthen internal control systems.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, transportation industry requirements, and financial policies.

Coordinate external audits and regulatory reporting.

Operational & Strategic Support

Partner with operations leadership to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including fleet utilization, fuel costs, maintenance expenses, and freight profitability.

Support business growth initiatives, acquisitions, and process improvement projects.

Develop financial models and business analyses to support strategic planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA designation required or strongly preferred.

5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.

2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight, distribution, or supply chain industries is a must.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

Proficiency with ERP systems, Quickbooks, Truckmate and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
