Valard Construction seeks experienced Journeyperson Powerline Technicians for in office roles at unionized worksites in the Toronto area. In this hands-on position, you will apply your technical skills to install and maintain power lines and associated equipment while adhering to strict safety standards. Your expertise will enhance operational efficiency while mentoring junior staff and ensuring compliance with our health and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and upgrade steel/wood poles and distribution towers
• Install electrical power lines, transformers, and switches




• Execute system switching tasks and underground cable testing
• Mentor apprentices and model safe work practices
• Document daily inspections and safety compliance

Requirements:
• Journeyperson Powerline Technician (434A or Red Seal)
• Experience in utility construction and energized work
• Valid Driver's Licence, preference for Commercial
• Ability to read construction prints and electrical schematics
• Certifications in Confined Space and Working at Heights preferred
