We are looking for an experienced Sr.

Financial Analyst to join a wholesale distribution organization in Markham, Ontario on a Long-term Contract basis.

This role will play an key part in financial reporting, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and performance analysis while providing meaningful insights to support business decisions.

The successful candidate will work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen reporting accuracy, budgeting processes, and ongoing financial controls.

Responsibilities: Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financial results are reported accurately.

Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries while maintaining complete supporting documentation.

Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve unusual variances promptly.

Produce recurring financial and management reports, highlighting trends, risks,



and performance drivers.

Deliver detailed analysis of revenue, expenses, margins, and other key metrics to support operational and strategic decisions.

Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial reviews for management and business partners.

Partner with departments such as Sales and Marketing to provide reporting, analysis, and responses to financial information requests.

Support cash management, banking activities, and complex accounting matters involving receivables and payables as needed.

Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies while assisting with year-end review requirements.

Participate in special finance projects, process enhancements, and business system-related initiatives as assigned.
