Our client, an established organization with a complex multi-location distribution network, is seeking a Senior Manager of Logistics to lead the continued development of its logistics and customer fulfillment strategy.

This senior leadership position will focus on building a more sophisticated, scalable and technology-enabled logistics network supporting multiple distribution and customer fulfillment channels. The organization has an established operating network and is looking for an experienced logistics leader who can identify how its existing capabilities, transportation resources and technology can work together more effectively.

The Senior Manager of Logistics will help refine the long-term logistics strategy and take ownership of turning that strategy into an executable operating model. This is not simply a role maintaining an established transportation function. It is an opportunity to build, improve and implement how products move through a complex network and ultimately reach the customer.

The Role

- Lead the development and execution of logistics strategy supporting multi-location distribution and direct-to-customer fulfillment.
- Design and optimize a multi-node transportation and distribution network across a geographically dispersed customer base.
- Develop scalable customer fulfillment strategies that leverage existing locations, distribution infrastructure, transportation assets and third-party partners.
- Establish the operating models, business rules and service standards required to deliver products efficiently and cost effectively to customers.
- Evaluate network capacity, routing, service levels, cost-to-serve and transportation requirements to identify opportunities for improvement.




- Lead transportation technology optimization, including the continued development of TMS capabilities, route planning, load optimization, visibility, reporting and analytics.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics planning through additional technology, automation and analytical tools.
- Lead carrier and third-party logistics strategy, including selection, performance management, contract negotiations and relationship management.
- Build scalable processes that support organizational growth, seasonal demand and changing customer fulfillment requirements.
- Develop and monitor logistics KPIs focused on service, cost, capacity, efficiency and customer experience.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data, root-cause analysis and process redesign.
- Provide leadership to an established logistics team while developing the structure and capabilities required to support future growth.
- Partner closely with Distribution, Inventory Management, Operations, Finance and other internal stakeholders.
- Support logistics risk management, regulatory requirements and cross-border/import-export activities where required.

The Ideal Candidate

This opportunity will appeal to an experienced logistics leader who has moved beyond simply operating within an established network and has had meaningful involvement in building, redesigning or transforming one.

You bring a combination of strategic thinking and operational credibility.



You understand how product moves through a complex distribution network, but you also understand the customer experience at the end of that network and how transportation, technology, service expectations and cost must work together.

You are comfortable taking an evolving strategy, challenging and refining it where necessary, and then creating the processes, systems and team capabilities required to make it work.

- 7+ years of progressive logistics, transportation or supply chain experience.
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for teams and strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience designing, transforming or significantly improving a multi-location logistics or distribution network.
- Strong experience with direct-to-customer, B2B customer fulfillment or final-mile delivery models.
- Experience supporting retail, branch or multi-location distribution environments.
- A strong understanding of transportation network design, routing, carrier strategy and cost-to-serve.
- Experience implementing, optimizing or working closely with Transportation Management Systems and other logistics technology.
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience using data to drive network and operational decisions.
- Experience with automation, process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance customer service expectations against logistics cost and operational complexity.
- Experience working across multiple business functions and influencing senior stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or a related discipline. Advanced education or professional supply chain certification is an asset.
- Ability to travel approximately 25–30%.
