**Job Title: Machine Operator
Laser (Afternoon Shift)**
**Job Description**
This role involves setting up and operating a laser machine in a manufacturing environment, reviewing and adjusting CAD-based programs, performing quality checks using measuring tools, and ensuring products meet required specifications.

You will work on the afternoon shift and contribute to a clean, well-organized production facility with multiple fabrication and assembly operations.
**Responsibilities**
Set up and operate the laser machine safely and efficiently using appropriate hand tools as needed.

Review CAD drawings and interpret x and y coordinates to ensure accurate machine setup and part alignment.

Load, review, and adjust programs received from the engineering team to meet production requirements.

Configure machine parameters and make necessary adjustments during production to maintain quality and throughput.

Perform minor troubleshooting on the laser machine to resolve basic operational issues and minimize downtime.

Conduct quality checks on finished and in-process parts using calipers and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.

Document and communicate any defects, deviations, or issues identified during quality checks to the appropriate team members.

Handle and move materials and finished products, including lifting items up to 50 pounds as part of daily operations.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following shop floor standards and safety practices.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and continuous improvement goals.
**Essential Skills**
At least 1 year of hands-on machine operating experience (beyond basic button pressing).

Minimum 1 year of experience performing quality checks using calipers and measurement tools.

Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, including x and y coordinates.

Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production machinery and hand tools.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of regular duties.

Basic troubleshooting skills for addressing minor machine issues.

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.

Ability to work the afternoon shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience operating laser machines or similar CNC equipment in a manufacturing workplace.

Familiarity with reviewing and loading machine programs provided by engineering teams.

Comfort working in a structured production setting with multiple workstations and processes.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a medium-to-large manufacturing facility of over 200,000 square feet that includes six assembly workstations, eight welding cells, a paint booth, and an epoxy mold department with more than ten machines.

The environment is very clean, with bright lighting and high ceilings that create a comfortable and safe workspace.

You will operate on the afternoon shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., receiving an additional shift premium for working this schedule.

The facility uses a variety of production equipment and machinery, and you will primarily work with laser machines and related tools within a structured, organized manufacturing setting.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $49920.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
