**Job Title: Aerospace Painter**
**Job Description**
This role focuses on preparing, painting, and finishing aerospace components with precision and consistency in a high-volume production environment.

You will evaluate parts, mix and apply specialized paint formulations, and ensure all components meet strict quality and thickness standards while working primarily in a paint booth.
**Responsibilities**
Evaluate each aerospace part prior to painting and determine the appropriate paint formulation to use.

Mix paint accurately according to specifications, ensuring correct color, consistency, and thickness.

Lay out parts on trays and perform the full cleaning process, including wiping down surfaces and preparing them for coating.

Apply primer and top coat to parts using spray equipment, ensuring complete and even coverage from all angles.

Operate paint guns, sprayers, and related paint booth equipment safely and effectively.

Place painted parts on a conveyor belt or similar system to be placed in a furnace for baking and curing.

Remove parts from the oven after baking and hang them properly for cooling and further processing.

Perform paint prep tasks such as masking, taping, and surface preparation as required.

Use basic measuring tools to verify paint thickness and other critical dimensions meet specifications.

Complete documentation related to quality checks, paint usage, and process steps accurately and on time.

Follow established paint systems and procedures to maintain consistency across high-volume production.

Maintain a clean and organized paint booth, equipment, and work area in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of paint materials, chemicals, and equipment.
**Essential Skills**
Minimum 1+ years of painting experience in an aerospace environment.

Proven ability to mix paint independently, including matching formulas and adjusting for proper consistency.

Solid understanding of paint thickness requirements and how to achieve them consistently.

Hands-on experience using spray guns, paint sprayers, and paint booth equipment.

Ability to perform paint prep work, including cleaning, priming, and top coating parts.

Familiarity with working on aerospace components such as landing gear or similar parts.

Capability to use basic measuring tools to verify thickness and quality of painted parts.

Comfort working in a high-volume production setting with repetitive processes.

Attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality and documentation standards.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience in an aerospace production facility handling high volumes of parts.

Background in paint shop operations, including paint prep, paint booth setup, and equipment maintenance.

Exposure to paint systems, paint machines, and automated or semi-automated paint processes.

Experience with landing gear or other complex aerospace assemblies is an asset.





Ability to work independently and as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment.

**Work Environment**
The role is based primarily in a dedicated paint booth within an aerospace production facility.

You will work with spray guns, paint sprayers, paint booths, paint machines, and related paint systems, as well as furnaces used to bake and cure painted parts.

The environment is fast-paced and oriented toward high-volume production, with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and adherence to process.

Shifts include a night shift from 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and an afternoon shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Work attire typically includes appropriate protective clothing and personal protective equipment suitable for a paint shop and production setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
