Job Summary

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a full time, three-month temporary assignment in Châteauguay, QC. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with full-cycle accounts payable experience who enjoys working with invoices, vendor communications, approvals, and payment processing.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will support a busy finance function within the waste management industry, helping ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and paid on time. This opportunity offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule, supportive internal teams, and the chance to contribute quickly in a stable, essential-services environment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $25 to $27 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

- Review, code, and process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Follow up on invoice approvals and ensure payments align with vendor terms.
- Respond to vendor inquiries by phone and email in a professional manner.
- Prepare electronic payments and maintain accurate vendor records.
- Set up new vendor accounts and ensure required information is complete.
- Review staffing agency timesheets and resolve discrepancies with internal teams.
